2. What Data We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Enquiry details - the nature of your mortgage or finance enquiry and any information you provide in free-text fields
  • Usage data - pages visited, time spent on the site, browser type, and approximate location (collected via analytics cookies, only if you consent)

We do not collect sensitive personal data (special category data) through this website. Any sensitive financial information required to process a mortgage application is collected separately through a secure, regulated process.

5. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

  • Microsoft 365 - our email infrastructure provider, used to receive and respond to enquiries
  • FCA-regulated lenders and intermediaries - where required to arrange finance on your behalf (only with your knowledge and agreement)
  • Regulatory authorities - where required by law or regulation (e.g. the FCA, HMRC)

All third-party processors are subject to contractual obligations to keep your data secure and to process it only on our instructions.


6. Data Retention

  • Enquiry data - retained for 6 years from the date of last contact, in line with FCA record-keeping requirements
  • Analytics data - retained by Google Analytics for 14 months (our default retention setting)

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access - request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification - ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure - ask us to delete your data (subject to our regulatory obligations)
  • Restriction - ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Portability - receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Object - object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent - for any processing based on consent (e.g. analytics cookies)

Not all forms of mortgages are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
